  2. This looks extremely lacklustre... I am dissapoint. The knee armor is unexcusable, and it looks not much better then the HG...

Also, inb4suiton and his list of MGs he wants so he can buy them and leave them in their boxes unbuilt for eternity

    1. Dude, that knee armor is part of the design of the MS -_-'
All the images of the age-2 you can find show that knee joint built that way !

    2. So do most every other MS, and yet they manage to give you sliding knee armor on the kits

    3. It's still a part of the AGE-2's design to not have the sliding armor. It would be inaccurate to the show if it did. The sliding armor is just a extra gimmick for some MGs like the Destiny and Strike Freedom

    4. Both of which have no sliding armor on their original design. neither does mkII, infinite justice, 00, qan(t), rx-78 and many many more... yes it's a gimmick. So? what makes these designs worthy of a gimmick and not Age-2, which, imo, is begging for one? Is asking for a gimmick in a MG kit an unreasonable thing?

    5. The Age-2 is variable MS, so it's MG actual gimmick is to be able to transform into G-Strider Mode and that's quite something already. In fact, making a MG of this kind is a task so complex that some detailing has to be sacrificed in order to make it possible while keeping it accurate to the orginal design, just take a look to the prototype of the Aegis MG that had to be revamped to make it happen.

I think the landing gear of this kit is a nice gimmick, since not even new MG kits like Zeta v2, Rezel or Delta Plus had it.

    6. Yes, I get it's complex, but zeta, delta, wing zero, and even zeta 1.0 all have transformations, some much more complex than age-2, and still manage to have some form of sliding knee armor. The transformation in age-2's legs is not that complex, and I get the feeling the reason the armor doesn't move is b/c they went with those plug in joints age-1 normal has. As for aegis, it wasn't revamped so it could pull off the transformation, b/c the NG is perfectly capable of pulling it off, and looks a lot more accurate to the original line art. I should know, b/c I have it.
As for the landing gear, zeta 1.0 has landing gear, and there's really no reason for zeta 2.0 not to have it... they just chose to give you a base, or base connector.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating the age-2 MG, I'm just disapointed, since, to me, it doesn't really scream MG, not in the way age-1 normal does. It just looks like an oversized HG...
And thanks for the thoughtfull and polite response^^

    7. No worries. Anyway, I'll wait for a good review of the actual thing before passing judgement. I'm not really into Age anyway, I'm somehow enjoy the series, but the mechanical desings do not amuse me, I actually like the Age-2 Double Bullet though, but taking a look at Age's TV ratings I wouldn't put my money on Bandai releasing it anytime soon, so right now I'm more interested on those sexy RG Justice and MG Aegis.

The "knees" for the Age-2 are different from other designs as that bit or armor is not actually a part of the knee. It's more an extension of the thigh armor. On other designs, that section is legitimately knee armor, so the designer can take some liberties to increase the range of motion for the kit. Does that make more sense?

    10. @Shut Up Nike Of course it makes sense, and that's the way I see it too. I was just stating my opinion in that I would like to have that part move just a tad, kinda like on the 00 and qan(t) MGs, where there's that bit of thigh armour that separates just a bit. Is it accurate? No. Does it need it? Not really... Does it look better then if it didn't have it? You bet! ^^
      Also, love your username ^_^

    1. So I guess all the other MGs that don't follow line art to a T are fail in your book, mr anonymous person who thinks calling someone a stupid fucking dumbass over the internet makes him oh so clever and also right? Guess the perfect line for you is NG, then. All the seed MGs suck, and Age-1 also sucks, because the line art doesn't show sliding knee armor... And aegis is like the worst MG ever from bandai. And let's not mention PGs... go back to your NGs, please, and learn proper manners...

  4. They ignored ZZ in the MG list. I'm disappointed Bandai.

  6. You guys are silly. MG Age-2's knees DO have a sliding feature: it slides outward for its landing mode, silly!

    1. You know, you are actually very right, of course, and I put some of my nitpicks aside. The knee moving for the landing gear is a nice gimmick. And perhaps that joint lets the knee armor move a bit on its own. I'm still not that happy with the way it looks, but thanks for bringing that to my attention ^^

  8. Hrm... This might be the first non universal century MG I buy, however, I need to see actual reviews of it before I do that, since beyond the transformation gimmick, I can't really see much else in way of features. I mainly hope that it will be a bit sturdier. From what I read transforming MS tend to be a bit less than sturdy, however, I'll know firsthand when I get the Zeta Plus C1.

Anyway, I have my eye on this kit.

    1. Meant to put 'in way of features I'D BE INTERESTED IN.' I do see that it has a full page of little gimmicks xD; I just wanted to clarify.

    3. For MGs, yes. I do like other designs, however, I only recently started buying MGs xD So I wanna get all the UC ones I like before I start buying the AU ones
