  1. This is pretty cool. I'm betting that the suits from SEED are sure to lose since they are so horrid.

    3. well the red frame one from beginning G should of known better to go against the O with just a katana but it all depands on how the modeler can pilot their MS,I know I wouldn't pass up on using akatsuki even tho I dont like seed

Did you even check that fakefag's account for once? It's seriously not me and I never denounce something like that. It's one of SeedSuckIt's troll accounts using my damn name.

    5. Sure thats not your evil alter ego? lol jk

    6. Depends in pilot's skill. Even a bad MS is difficult to fight if the pilot is a real Ace.

in that case, you should login with name that can't be duplicated, or some unique ID that can be distinguished easily.

this impostor plague is really worrisome.

    1. @Ken Ganang:

Well, considering in the anime that we're seeing gameplay (as opposed to how the actual MSs would really match up against each other), I'd chalk it up to balancing issues (not unlike with real games); making sure overpowered units from certain anime are not, well, overpowered in this game, and perhaps player error is a factor.

That, and "Sieg Zeon"; there are plenty of fans out there that not only love Universal Century (which has some good anime/manga), but they especially love the Zeon or at least some elements of 'em (thus stories like 0083, Unicorn, IGLOO, etc.). The closest I personally came to appreciating 'em is when some of the Zeon MS appeared in Turn A Gundam. I'm no big fan of Zeon in general, though, but to each their own. *shrug* It's all enjoyable fiction.

    2. It did say that the main protagonist (guy in wing) was good at building but not very good at fighting. So its about skill and if aren't good it doesn't matter what suit your in you'll loss. I'm also wondering if people in SD suits are pros.

    3. gundam wing specializes in long range, while the Gyam is designed for short range, so unless the pilot is strong, wing against a Gyam could not, and if we remember that sei no good riding, it is natural that occurs. apart, UC always be superior to many of the alternative stories gundam apart although some of the Zeon MS are not as impressive, there are others who really took away my taste, as the Gouf Custom, Kampfler, Gelgoog Jaeger, the Geara Doga, Geara Zulu, are incredible, not counting Sazabi and Sinanju, which are my favorite gundam destroyers.

    4. @Anon (6:41 AM): Yeah, I figured the long-range/short-range roles of both units would be a factor (again, like in real Gundam games such as the Gundam Vs. series), which is why I mentioned "player error" as a factor. (Did the WG player even think to fly around half the time?) Again, we're seeing gameplay rather than real units, so I wouldn't necessarily make the conclusion of one being better than another (beyond the performance of the players) without judging how the units actually performed in the shows they originated in and speculating from that.

As far as UC being "always" superior to alternate universes in story, it comes down to a matter of personal taste/preference, so even if I agreed with you (which I don't necessarily), I wouldn't necessarily make such a blanketing statement... Especially since, by using the word "always", you'd be including "G-Savior" in there, and there are at least some people out there that would take an AU Gundam over it (when judging on a case-by-case basis). But while I think there are a few AU shows out there that can at least hold their own (such as X and TAG for examples), there are definitely some good stories in UC that I enjoyed just as much.

Lets not pretend UC is some holy untouchable masterpiece when we have stinkers like ZZ, F91, 0083 (in terms of character) and G Saviour. AUs may have had their low points but overall they have been far more progressive in their storytelling willing to explore new ideas than most UC shows which is content to recycle OYW Federation vs Zeon plots.

    6. The main character (Sei) sucks at piloting so expect the battle to go differently with his friend at the helm.

    7. @Siroh: Can Wing even fly on its own in MS Mode? TBH, I don't remember any instance of the non-EW version actually flying w/o transforming. And IIRC, Wing Gundam couldn't fly in SRW Z2.

    8. @Anon (7:54 PM): To be honest, it's been a while since I've seen the GW anime itself, and I probably would be able to give less of a rambling answer if I had recently watched it. But after looking up a Gundam Info video on it (which I found embedded on the Gundam Wiki page on Wing Gundam) and still remembering a few things, I'll give it a guess anyway.

First off, I can't comment on SRW Z2 since I hadn't played it, but to be honest, I equate it to the above fictional game in the new anime and not the be-all, end-all for discussions like this. *shrug* There's a video of Wing Gundam (lasting a minute and a half long) on Gundam Info's YT channel that shows at least a few instances of it doing some battling in the air; slicing an Aries MS, using vulcans or even it's rifle on other MSs. Even if we take out the scenes in the first episode where it's gliding after taking a few hits, that's at least a few examples.

Outside of that video, I can recall it using the wings to back off from an occasional attack; whether melee (such as in the video) or otherwise (which reuses that footage). I also remember it attacking some of the automated MSs in the air in the middle of the series (at least having no trouble being in the air in MS mode). And there was some deal that was made of WG being lighter than the Aries (which can fly and and maneuver in the air in combat and fly around planes in spite of it's un-aerodynamic profile).

My best guess is that--like it's EW manga counterpart--(TV) WG has little-to-no problem doing some combat in the air, but for whatever reasons (I'd guess fuel conservation being one factor), the pilot doesn't do it all the time. If it hasn't been seen all that much, it's a possible strike against it (if we go by my idea of looking at the anime and respective material it comes from). But given what I remember what even the measly grunts can do in GW (let alone WG itself), I think WG at least should be able to if it's an aerial MS of any kind that can take out aerial grunt MSs with melee attacks and shower ground-based units with vulcans with no problem. If it can zip past everyone in it's bird mode, those same thrusters can be used when it twists and turns into MS mode.

And while you brushed aside the EW version, in that manga we've even seen it not only exchange fire while in the air in MS mode (which it did with Heavyarms), but also fly around without transforming (zipping past one of the other Gundams before slicing a plane in half), and that version of WG has less thrusters and more equipment than the TV version.

But again, I'm going off of memory, a couple of short videos on Gundam Info, and some speculation. *shrug* It's easier for me to tell you if Turn A (or other MSs in TAG) is capable of doing aerial combat, since it's the AU Gundam show I've watched most recently.

    9. Yeah, all I remember in Wing is jumping around for single attacks (not sustained flight) though it may not be for lack of ability but a lack of enemies that can fly and take hits at the same time (Tallgeese).

As for EW, yeah, I believe they also mentioned something about Deathscythe getting equipment to make it fly, "just like Wing".

  3. WT... Gyan just kicked Wing's head away... Just made me interested more in watching this series to know more about Sei and company hehehe

  4. I like how, under the head, is a ball joint XD

  5. Should of used a little super glue to secure the head xD

    1. wont that make the head unable to turn?

    2. LOL, super glue would be no use if you fight against beam saber xD

if any, I will glue Nu fin funnel backpack to all gundam ^^

      Delete
    3. Maybe just enough to stiffen the joint.

    4. Wouldn't gluing Nu fin funnel defeat the purpose of the funnels? lol

    5. If your suit's falling apart before a single shot is fired, you're already screwed XD

  6. LOL, that's kind of what happened to my old 144 Wing. The arm joint was destroyed and the head was lost.

  7. Even in another timeline, the Wing Gundam still got abused :(

  8. it's more the pilot's suck factor than the suit, if they're using wing gundam vs gyan as a measuring stick then he must really suck.

  9. As usual our BF protagonist is going to take his sweet time in getting better as a pilot.

Gundam BF is kit bashing and playing it in a simulator. Thus I would enter with the GGV-000 Barbatos with a few mods (SD Gundam G Generation World http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-HeU-kJY9M).
